Feb 12: Beyond Tunnel Vision with Darla Inglis

In the Pittsburgh Region, we often hear people saying, "We can't do green infrastructure here. The slopes are too steep.  We get too much rain.  We have clay soil..."  and so much more!  But the truth is - We CAN do green infrastructure here!  We have challenges, but we also have opportunities.  In regions all over the country, people are meeting challenges similar to ours with creative, sustainable, green solutions, and we can, too!

Join the Clean Rivers Campaign and our co-sponsors, Sustainable Pittsburgh10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, and Smart Growth Club to learn how we can make green infrastructure a reality!  Dr. Darla Inglis, Program Director for the Low Impact Development Initiative at University of California - Davis ExtensionCenter for Land Use and Natural Resources will speak on Green Communities: Sowing Opportunities, Growing Benefits

Reception at 5:30 and talk at 6:30 in Doherty Hall room 2315 at Carnegie Mellon University.  Get more details (including map and directions) and RSVP here.
